I was looking around for the Ev Crawford tag and I came across someone saying that Ev is a lesbian. As a gay man who loves reading/watching queer characters like Midnighter, Apollo, Batwoman, Renee's The Question etc, I love it. It's a great idea, but what do you think about it Sue? Is there a limit to LGBT characters in comics before it turns out like Glee? Is Ev actually a lesbian or am I being played?

The writer, Duane Swierczynsk said in the interview with him last week for the podcast that Ev is bisexual. The way he talked about the character and the fact that he’s a good writer makes me feel that the character’s sexuality will be handled with respect. I like the character and I am happy to have a canon queer in the Birds. I really don’t see the comparison between Glee and comics. Sorry.
