DC Women Kicking Ass

Thoughts, pictures, reviews and other stuff about the women in comics who kick ass. This is a feminist site. Deal with it.

"... provides a much-needed voice that is not often heard on traditional comic sites." - Wired's Geek Dad
... she's pretty amazingly ignorant of comics outside of the Batverse and some recent Wonder Woman, and seems pretty clueless about the way the industry works. That and she doesn't write that well at all." anonymous poster, Dreamwidth

Justice League of America Catwoman Channels TDKR’s Catwoman

Despite the many changes in the new 52, Catwoman’s costume stayed the same including her flat heeled boots.

Here’s a good look at her boots from the cover of Catwoman #19

But in today’s Justice League of America she is wearing footwear that resembles that worn by Anne Hathaway in TDKR.

TDKR’s Catwoman, of course, wore a boot with a sharp metal heel as seen in this poster.

The Justice League of America are supposed to be “World’s Most Dangerous” perhaps Catwoman’s costume change is to make her more dangerous?

I really liked the heels in TDKR; they were relatively functional for Selina’s stealthy needs. I haven’t read JLA #1...

  15. bloodandgutsinhighschool said: I wear stilettos all the time, but the idea that you could effectively use them as a weapon is dumb. They’re impossible to run in, and they’re more likely to snap off than cause serious damage. I preferred the flat boots.

This is just to make the films more likely the comics, like Nightwing or Batman 17 flashback.
