Paul Dini’s original graphic novel featuring a team-up of the DCU’s wearers of fishnet stockings will finally be coming out next year. The project was first announced in 2006 with art by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti. In 2007 it was reported the book would be starting production soon with a unnamed art team and would be released in 2008. But I was told today by the project’s artist Joe Quinones, the OGN titled Bloodspell, is well underway for a 2012 debut.
Two pages of art after the jump.
The book begins with a back story where an 11 year old Zatanna meets a 16 year old Dinah Lance. And the two don’t get off to a good start on this trip to Mt. Everest.

I admit I was surprised that book was actually happening and had put it into the same timeline as Adam Hughes’ “All-Star Wonder Woman” but I was happy to see the project so far along. What do you think?
PAUSE, IS THIS STILL HAPPENING?
HOLY SHIT YES. I loved Conner and Palmiotti on Power Girl; I can not WAIT to get my hands on this.
I… I… this is so amazing. I don’t have words.

Wait, what? NY Times? That’s just… *boggles*
