Anthology of Showcasing Female Comic Creators Needs Funding
Womanthology has lined up some great over 140 female creators to do a comic anthology. Among the creators lined up are:
- Gail Simone
- Annie Nocenti
- Ming Doyle
- Devin Grayson
- Lauren Montgomery
- Fiona Staples
- And many others - see a full list of contributors HERE
The project will include a variety of material including team-ups of seasoned writers and newer artists. Proceeds from the sale of Womanthology will go to charity.
In order to get pay for fund the project they are trying to raise $25,000 on Kickstarter. Contributions can be as small as $1. If you contribute more you will be eligible for some extras.
The money will go towards the printing of 1500 hardcover copies of the book. Their goal is December so here’s a possible holiday gift! The video will tell you more.
This is wonderful project that will showcase some of the best creators in comics all of whom just happen to be female.
