Lego and DC extend agreement; Wonder Woman, Superman to get sets
DC Comics has granted Lego full access to its characters. The hugely popular Batman Lego line from a few years ago will include a new line of playsets in January, starting with 13 characters, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and villains the Joker, Bane, Harley Quinn and Lex Luthor.
There will also be “Dark Knight Rises” sets when that film is released next year.
The two companies are celebrating by giving away Batman and Green Lantern mini-figs at SDCC.
I’m happy and excited that Wonder Woman is included (I suspect Batgirl will also be one of the 13 given her prominence in the Batman Lego game, and, well, you know). Wonder Woman has long been a popular focus for custom-figs such as the one below, I can’t wait to see what the real thing looks like.
