Okay maybe that’s me but today they unveiled not one but two Heroclix. The first is Batgirl. Let’s take a look:
At a certain point in the game, something happens:
When Batgirl hits one or more opposing characters, after actions resolve, place a Promotion Token on his character card. You may then roll a d6 that can’t be rerolled and add 1 for each Promotion Token on his character card; on a result of 8 or higher, replace this character with DC10th Oracle on the same click number.”
That’s right she gets PROMOTED to Oracle.
What smart thinking about how to view Oracle.
I love how the card says “this chair won’t stop me.”
What more can I add to this but:
hat tip to the Mary Sue
My fellow blogger, podcast co-host and friend Kelly Thompson is helping out during my vacation week with posts. Today she has promised me a look at my favorite character, Barbara Gordon. If you read Kelly’s posts over at her blog and CBR you know you are in for a treat. Her thoughts follow.
Since Barbara Gordon was added to the cast of Young Justice earlier this season there has been speculation that she might be joining the team as Batgirl. When a preview of the Young Justice Invasion action figure was spied at Toy Fair that speculation grew. And now it is confirmed in the preview for Invasion:
Sadly it seems we won’t ever see the toy.
Last week I showed you Wonder Woman’s invisible plane and Batgirl and Wonder Woman Little People on the shelf at Target.
Now Fisher Price has expanded its wheelies and added another character close to my heart:
I continue to be so pleased with how Fisher Price is bringing female characters into superhero toys, especially for this age group.
I’m putting together some posts on why Cassandra Cain/Stephanie Brown or Barbara Gordon/Dinah Lance should win Galentines and looking for contributions and thoughts about why one of the other should be name Bestest Friends in DC Comics! More here!

Barbara Gordon has been seen in a few of the most recent episodes of Young Justice leading to speculation that Batgirl might join the show.
Produce Greg Weisman has been closed mouth on the topic as recently as January 30.
But now there is some evidence that she may be appearing in her incarnation as Batgirl as part of the Young Justice miniseries Invasion.
Someone emailed me this image of toys shown at the Toy Fair. That does look like double figure Young Justice packaging:
And that certainly looks like Barbara Gordon as Batgirl.
I can die happy. Okay, I don’t mean now, but look - BabsGirl Batgirl sneakers.
The winner of the second match yesterday was Power Girl and Terra although Selina and Holly gave them some competition.
Today’s match is BABSTASTIC!
Barbara Gordon in her pre-Crisis Batgirl persona and the pre-Crisis Supergirl
Barbara Gordon is her Oracle persona and Dinah Lance, Black Canary.
Voting is open until 8PM EST.
