AT SDCC, both DC and Marvel signed up with Lego to license their line to Lego. And now here’s a peek at some of the first figures.
First up DC. We saw the Batman figure previewed at SDCC but that Joker is a new addition.

And here Marvel’s figures.

I think I can feel the money pouring out of my pocket …

We knew this was coming after promotional playing cards from SDCC showed the character, but we now have confirmation:

Joe Kubert.
Happy 82nd Birthday Joe!
I was lucky to meet Joe at the Boston Comic Con this year. He was quite the dapper gentleman. When I mentioned that it was nice to see a third generation of the family at DC (his granddaughter Katie is an assistant editor) his face lit up as only a grandfather’s can.

Justice League #4 // Jim Lee
Oh look it’s Aquaman on the cover of Justice League #4. And it looks like Bats has gone down by Trident. Wonder how the Bat forums are going to take that?

My hope for the DC relaunch.
Just a Bad Dream; latest commission from Mike Kevan
(for those below a certain age, you may need a reference.)
Lois channels the famous “It was all a dream” sequence from the TV show Dallas (click the link above) that wiped away a year of the show.
Golden Age Birds of Prey. For the DC Fifty Too blog project
This is wonderful! It reminds me a bit of the never published Birds of Prey newspaper comic by Chuck Dixon.
Batgirl & Blackbat #011 by cpuhuman
Fun comic books we’ll probably never see. Spoiler and Black Bat? Maybe.
Batgirls: Hope Prevails by Dave Reynolds
I would love to see an all Batgirl title. I like that the artist made it a digital comic and $1.99. So who would buy this?
This! This! THIS!
Nathan Fox’s Wonder Woman cover for DC Fifty-Too is just wonderful! I love it! I want to read it!
Check out the site for alternative takes on a new 52 including this fabulous Wonder Woman.
