Is James Robinson paying tribute to Pink Floyd/Wizard of Oz connection in JSA?
The Source just posted a preview of the JLA/JSA crossover he’s written and take a look at this page. Green Lantern and Obsidian have just arrived in an Emerald City or as Todd refers to it “a fairy tale on drugs”. But beyond the Emerald City reference there’s Alan’s comment that “… the moon’s dark side is a very special place.”
Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” and the soundtrack to the movie “The Wizard of Oz” famously synchonize. Oh, and if that isn’t enough, note there are two flying monkeys in the first panel.
Update: I asked Robinson over Twitter if he was paying tribute and his answer was, “Absolutely”.
