DC Favorite Couples Tournament, Round 2, Match 1
The first round of the canon tournament is over with Apollo and Midnighter taking the final slot in their win yesterday. The tournament is seeded so the most popular couples don’t enter until this round so if you haven’t seen your favorite, they may show up in this round … like today.

DC Favorite Couples Tournament: Canon - Round 1 and 2
Today’s the first day of voting in the DCWKA Favorite DC Couples Contest (dum dum dum!) And because it involves shipping of characters it is already shaping up to be a fustercluck of fan wank. Or just fun. YOU DECIDE! So before we begin some clarifications and background.
Over three days on Twitter and Tumblr, I requested people to send in their three favorite couples both canon and non-canon. I received hundreds of responses. Those were tabulated. A few of you have asked about the canon and non-canon specification. Basically, if characters existed in the DCAU and DCU, their DCU relationship took precedence. Extrapolate as you wish.
If you don’t see a couple in the tournament, it is because they did not receive as many votes as the couples that are in the tournament. It’s that simple; there’s no bias. Requests for couples were made over Tumblr and Twitter reaching 10s of thousands of comics fans. All votes were recorded and counted (and counted and counted). No bias, here.
And now the rules. One vote per person. Let me repeat that. One. Vote. Per. Person. Voting is open until 8PM EST. As you can see it opens early too so everyone should have a chance to vote. There are 24 couples in the canon contest and 10 in non-canon. You can see who they are here and their listing isn’t a reflection of the number of votes they received.
