To think I used to complain when people drew the Batfamily and had Babs as Batgirl rather than Oracle because I thought it was important people recognized that she had moved on.
Still trying to figure out how BabsGirl and Batwoman are going to be contemporaries. Or BabsGirl and the Red Hood.
![One of my very favorite portraits of the Batfamily. Look at their slippers - colored coded for each member. You know that it is the Jason/Todd aka Red Hood stomping off because they are red. And look at the faces and body language - perfect in every way.

I love Barbara Gordon as Batgirl. And I love the idea of a Babs!girl teaming in a time traveling adventure with other Batgirls.
I love Batfamily portraits too. But I really dislike it when artists do a portrait and put Barbara in the Batsuit and not in the wheelchair as Oracle. I’m not sure the artist meant to send this message, but when I see this it makes it seem as if Barbara doesn’t count unless she’s in the suit. It’s not true, of course, but it bothers me.

Another Batfamily portrait. This is adorable. As mentioned below there are lots of cute details. I like Dick trying to snatch Babs’ iPhone (she probably doesn’t want him to see the text messages from Dinah ^^). And I’m always happy to see Cass and Jason with their brothers.

It’s called Classy Batkids. I can’t get over how much I love this. And I’d asked for a lot of the little details, but I love how they show up: Dick’s Superman belt buckle (fanboy!), Babs’ Oracle ring and Tim’s GEEK LED belt buckle (which D is making fun of him for, of course) and Jason’s red guns. ~Happy, happy, happy~

All the Batfamily Costumes.
You’ll want to look at this in the biggest size possible. I don’t know who did it (it looks like Benes maybe? If you know, please share UPDATE: Mizzelle has tracked down the artist. It is a Benes. Fred Benes, Ed’s brother. And it is from 2007) but it has the Batfamily through the years in the various iterations of their costumes. It’s quite fun although I prefer Babs to have gotten a full shirt as her Oracle costume rather than what she is wearing there. Extra points for Selina leaning on Bruce on the right side of the image. I want this as a poster.

DC 30 Day Meme Day 4 - My favorite family
This wasn’t very hard. I love the Batman family. I love Bruce and his boys. I love the brothers being brothers. I like Steph and Damian sniping. I love Babs and Dick forging a new relationship. And Tim and Steph coming to terms with their relationship. Cass and Steph being sisters from another mister. Helena content with her role after years of being on the outside looking in. What don’t I like? Cass getting the shaft. Jason being turned into a nut job. Oracle ditching on her “kids”. Bruce when he’s all grim and grimmer instead of a real dad.
Can the Batfamily ever be functional? Maybe. I’d recommend giving Alfred a larger sway over things, but then I think Alfred should be running parts of the government not just the Batfamily. So here’s to the Dysfunctional Bunch. And another look at them as suggested by Fabian Nicieza in this month’s “Red Robin”. And because I am reusing content (told you), I am also adding a parody of the Brady Bunch theme song. For those of you who were deprived of the Bunch growing up you can click the video at bottom to hear the tune.
