I try to bunch this stuff up so … for those who care or those who pretend not to care but spend time posting about me elsewhere some recent things I’m in!
The Beat did its annual wrap up of 2012 and I once again gave my thoughts on the year in comics.
Bleeding Cool published the results of its Comics Personality of 2012. Gail Simone won but I was one of two runners-up. I have no idea what this means!
And finally, I did an interview with the site GeeksOut and you can read it here.
I also did a podcast with the Webcomic Beacon site but I’m not sure if that’s released yet.
Also Kelly and I will be doing a 3 Chicks wrap-up of 2012; we were schedule to tape this past weekend but health issues intervened.
Hey I get to use one of my favorite tags from my Scans_Daily days!
Anyway, I’m on The Beat today talking about the year in comics and what’s coming next year here
And my top ten comics with DC women is featured on Robot6 here.
The Beat also picked up by best and worst lists. I like Heidi’s commentary about the best list which ends with:
You’ll have to give the Beat a click to see the set up.
And finally, I have an essay an upcoming book about comics along with Gail Simone, Jill Thompson, Jen Van Meter, Kelly Thompson and Jill Pantozzi among others. You can pre-order Chicks Dig Comics: A Celebration of Comic Books by the Women Who Love Them. on Amazon by clicking that link.
And so you don’t think I have a swelled head, there’s also this from the DC Comic boards:
DC Women Kicking Arse is just a dreadful little site that just basically compiles lists. Again…who cares.
Let us know when someone with a clearly thought out opinion shows up.
And this from the CBR forums:
And I would say the little I have seen of that blog, it is limited in what it can do and it does not qualify it as a top comic site. It does no critical analysis, interviews, reviews, seems to have limited knowledge on comic history, comes across angry most of the time at male creators or DC for some slight or the other etc. Hell even pissed at toys.
That last line cracks me up. I think I’ll go kick a Lego set.
